Another fact is most people in the west only think of feng shui as a type of home design or a certain way of decorating. They will walk through a home without realizing that anyone who is using feng shui in their home has decorations, furniture, paintings and even colors placed in exact areas and directions to enhance the feng shui of that room or the entire house bringing in greater amounts of whatever it is that the owner set the feng shui up to bring to them. You see, using feng shui provides you a way to increase the occurrence of certain things or events in your life. When done correctly, Feng shui can have a very strong effect on relationships, finance, as well as personal luck and happiness. Feng shui will not work without knowing how to determine placement direction, the color and the type of objects or designs needed in any particular room. This takes careful planning and study. You don’t just place stuff around the way you might think it should be because if things are not placed exactly, then the feng shui effect you are looking for will not take place or worse yet you may accidentally cause an unwanted effect and not know why weird things seem to always happen to you. Learning how to use feng shui correctly is not that difficult anymore. Even just a few years ago you would have had to hire a professional feng shui consultant to achieve the results you are looking for but today there are many good websites offering help, tips and advice on how to feng shui your house, your apartment or your life. |
The fact is feng shui has been known and practiced in Asia for over 4000 years. One of the many interesting about feng shui is that up until the invention of the magnetic compass, feng shui relied on astronomy, that is watching the stars and planets, to determine important directions and that interesting aspect of feng shui carries over to today.
